Store-Bought Mustard, No More!

Are you a mustard fanatic? Did you know that the primary ingredient in mustard is vinegar?

Instead of purchasing mustard at the store, and dealing with additives and artificial flavors, you can now try making your own mustard with any of The Olive Bin’s balsamic vinegars. It’s easy, inexpensive, and there’s lots of room for creativity in changing up your flavors!


Then – to hold together your dressings and marinades, instead of having oil and vinegar separate as they normally do (the term here is “emulsify”), you just add a tablespoon of mustard! You can take your new homemade mustard, slowly whisk in one of our vinegars, then quickly add an olive oil and whisk briskly so all is mixed (or, emulsified) – and, voila, a fancy-but-easy homemade dressing, ready to serve!
